Opening trac over https

Reported by: t.@facilit.no Assigned to: mmihajlov..@gmail.com (accepted)
Priority: minor Milestone:
Component: General Version:
Keywords: Cc: ts@facilit.no

Description

I am not sure if it is supposed to work without errors, but whenever I access trac over https I get an error "There was an error reading the sites cetificate. Do you want to continue?". However if I press yes, the tool still loads the expected results.

  • status changed from new to assigned.
  • type changed from defect to task.

Yes, this is by design, but I will leave this bug open as there are 2 things that still need to be done:

  • Make a nicer, more user friendly message.
  • Save the choice that the user makes for that server.

I was planning on making it work like Tortoise Svn?.

Well, I'm not really concerned about the friendliness of that message, but I'd love to make it disappear. Adding a "Do not show this message ever, ever, never, ever again"-checkbox would rock my world beyond recognition. :-D

I'm close - but having some threading problems.

In [23] I made all SSL connection successful including non-validating SSL certificates. This is not the long term goal, but a stop-gap until I figure out a better way of showing the "Accept Certificate" dialog. It kept causing Visual Studio to crash.
